Beirut-Berlin

In the old malt factory in Berlin- Tempelhof, a typical Berlin miracle arose; ...

... a mixture of commercialism, culture, and alternative leisure offers, completely without the constraints of facilities that are dependent on city funds.

For families with small children it is a real insider tip for swimming. The beach is in front of an incredible backdrop of the industrial monument with heaped sand.

At the moment, a remarkably subtly curated exhibition about the cities of Beirut and Berlin can be visited in the silo building in the factory.
The parallels between the different histories of the cities and the resulting conflicts and consequences for the respective population and urban tissues are reflected in the installation. This moving time travel experience in a unique space is really worth seeing.

 TIP:
Afterward head over to the cafe in the S-Bahn station Priesterweg for
home-made cake in a really nice setting in the garden opposite the famous garden allotment colony Samoa.
